How to Consign at The Pennywise Shoppe

The Pennywise Shoppe is happy to consider consigning your clothing and accessories.
The Shoppe is very selective and accepts only clothing which is of quality and in
impeccable condition and contributes to the character of the store.

The goal of my business is to offer a selection of clothing and accessories of quality
therefore creating an atmosphere and outlet for consigner and consumer alike.

    ! All clothing is to be pressed and must be on a hanger and be in season - in style
    and of no need of repairs or cleaning. ( your hangers will be returned immediately.
    The reason for bringing clothing in on hangers is to speed up the check in process
    especially when three or four people are trying to check in at the same time )

    Clothing is priced to sell by the Pennywise Shoppe. Consigner receives 50% of the selling price,
    50% is retained by the Shoppe.

    ! Each consigner is given an I.D. number and a record card which remains on file.

    ! Clothing and accessories are marked with consigners number and when article sells,
    the transaction is recorded and credited to the consigners account. I keep careful records of each item sold.
    I do not keep an inventory of all clothing consigned,
    consigner may elect to keep their own inventory list.

    Consignments Are Accepted:  TUE & THURS - 11:00 AM to 3 PM.  -  SAT 10 AM to 2 PM

Appointments Are Not Necessary but  If you have a Large amount of items

VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

We do not keep an inventory of what you bring in. Just of what sells.
When items sell they are listed in the computer under your number.

We do monthly updates in the computer. If an item sells in September
the update comes out in October. New updates come out on
the first Wednesday of each month.

Checks are written every week on Wednesday and Friday.
If you have a hard time getting in on those days. You can send in a
self addressed stamped envelope and Penny will mail you a check.
If you choose to do so. Please put your consignment number on your
envelope when you send it.

You get 50 % of the selling price. Penny does all pricing.

You get 60 days on the floor for your items. If they do not sell, and you
do want them back. You have to retrieve them on or before the date
on the white slip we give you.

If you do not pick up your items. They do get donated after the 60 days
We donate to mission work with local churches, Domestic Abuse,
Women’s Shelters, etc.
